come back message...lol

@livingman, @Unique inn Una weldone ooo, well i'm of the opinnion that next season will be a lot more harder for every teams in the league, cuz the regulars (3sc, Kwara utd, Dolpins) are comming back, and all of the will want to give the title chase a shot. the best thing for this darling club is to prepare well, and take all their away matches seriously, i want to believe the team that will win the NPL league next season will be the team that can win an away matches. I believe in this club, i believe in Nigeria league, and i believe in Nigeria. By God's grace next season i'll be a lot more involved in the league, and i should be visiting Enyimba stadium more frequently, more importantly i'd like to meet with Mr farriel personally.... Let us hope for the best NPL and Globacom are not doing well for the clubs, the clubs owns the league, and they should be allowed to source for their own sponsors, not that Globacom will just hold every club spell bound without any corresponding pay to the clubs. i want to believe that Nigerian premier league is undervalued but we hope during the NPL congress, so many things will be sorted out and things should work better next season. I also hope to see better pitch from Enyimba stadium, and also much improve play. long live enyimba, long live Nigerian football league Long live Nigeria

enyimba tried.welldone!

i do quite understand the reason why the general performance of the team this season appeared somewhat poor.there are days when,no matter the extent of intimidation and harrasment on away grounds, enyimba always come up tops.but football is rapidly growing in nigeria.so many clubs have grown too.who could believe that a whole world champion,Italy could fall like pack of cards in the hands of egypt?thats modern football for you.how about the latter failing to shine before usa?there is no need for fans to loose faith in this great club just because of this little upset.a new season is around the corner.there is still still room to achieve what we could not achieve last season.lets sll join hands and cheer this great club to a resounding 2009/2010 season, even as we strive to bring the confederation trophy to Nigeria.up enyi!up aba

Enyimba failed

Though Enyimba failed and also fumbled, lets thank God that we reached a reasona ble height on the league table and at least a Caf cup spot. We hope Enyimba will wake up dis new season and bring back the NPL cup that has eluded us for two seasons. It has been an interesting season with some notable improvement but there is still room for more improvement. To all my fellow fans,am wishing u all well and hopes that U continue in ur giant strive towards making Enyimba a great club. Thank U all 4 ur support. Enyimba shall rise again and surpass it formal height. Up ENYIMBA!!! Up THE PEOPLE'S ELEPHANT

About Johnson statement

What Chidozie Johnson said is the truth of the whole matter. What we need now is xtreme focus as the league draws to a close, cos any slight distraction, we would go down and not even the Caf cup slot will be ours. So guyz try and remain focus and console us a with a Caf cup ticket, plsss

Plsssss do something, U people in control.

Plsssssssssssssss something should be done fast before our dear club becomes the Arsenal of Nigeria. We cant afford to go down the log any more, Its totally unacceptable. Plsss those in control should act fast before the unimaginable happens. I cant stand it. Plsss am pleading with a broken heart, bcos an IROKO is about to fall if nothing is done, but God forbids.

disappointment broke my heart!

hello fellows!i left as a result of disappointment from the recent results.unique, you are 100% correct when you said ; the team is playing without any meaningful result.as long as i can remember, enyimba have not been so poor on the road as they were few weeks ago, loosing to clubs that use to tremble at the name enyimba is seriously unbecoming.i just hope the technical adviser will correct the lapses and at least, finish up on a respectable position this season. we are so sad here in aba.

It pains my heart

I'm so heart broken that i keep saying to myself is this the Enyimba i know, the club no other could reckon with, the pride of Nigeria, now playing dirty football and the problem is that the present team are still banking on the name the Ex-s made for the club instead of surpassing them and creating their own records. It arces my heart watching this team play without any meaningful result. Pls all those concerned should work together nowwwww and ensure Enyi returns to its rightful position nowwwww.. Greetings to U all, fellow fans, keep doing the good job. It still me inn unique

OPEN LETTER TO MR ANYASI AGU

Dear Sir, with your pedigree in football and the record breaking feat you'd led Enyimba through, what can we say you don't know about league football in Nigeria or on the African continent. You have my respect. But sir, I have a few things to raise here. First, I want you to know that toying with our passions is not the way to go. I'm not saying you are sir, I only want you to see that its not only the Aba traders that support the club with full passion. Secondly, when the Shanklys were building Liverpool, they didn't know some big businessmen will come from across the Atlantic years later to invest in the club. Maybe, the Gillets and the Hicks were just paper boys in America when Shankly was doing his thing in England. Therefore sir, build Enyimba up in a way that transcends you. Set up a system that will make people like myself put our money in the club later. Enyimba must transcend Abia state, Aba, Igbos or Eastern Nigeria or even Orji Uzor Kalu. Aba may be the base (and should continue to be). The Aba traders may be the first stakeholders but they are not the only ones. This is football. The whole world is the stakeholder. Moreover, set up a system that will bring the Nigerian and African Wengers, Benitezs and Fergusons. If the system is right, a "Ferguson" may be in Eguavoen, who knows? He may not as bad as we think. I'm a Yoruba man, I will not forget watching the Super 4 in Lagos in 2006, Enyimba vs Rangers (2-0) each time we score there was celebrations from the Enyimba fans end. But all these faces were not Igbos. There were those with Ibadan and Oyo tribal marks celebrating as well. That was the high point for me. There and then, I decided I'm not going back on my dear Enyimba. You sir, are sitting over a massive club by Nigerian and African standards. Please make it work. We are waiting to come in at the right time. Thirdly. we have not been dominant of late. We are in a position where mediocre teams are. We don't even have the best players in league. Its annoying. I know it is expensive to do but I doubt Bayelsa or Heartland have resources better than our own. Please, the recruitment drive should start now. A Champions League team must be assembled. Anyway, I'll still wear my Enyimba shirt anywhere I go. It has always caused a stare each time I slip it on. With remarks like, "Up Enyimba!" "Where did you get it?" "The shirt looks nice, I'll like to have one". "Na you know wetin dey". I know the day is coming when our league'll be the toast of football lover all across this continent. Stanev of Heartland is just the first European to play in our league others are coming, Africans, Asians, Middle Easterns, Latin Americans you name it. Mind you, The Peoples Elephants will be at the forefront of it all. Zogbu! zogbu! Enyimba Enyi. Thanks sir. Lolade Shoremekun loladehappiness@yahoo.com

I'm not suprised, but its painful

Mikkywalls and Femi, I'm not suprised at all the things you said. I for one have spoken so plainly on this forum about the team we've got at the moment and the coaching staff. I said then, that we need to limit our expectations to picking a Champions League place instead of winning the league title. I'd optimistically said we should put pressure on Heartland, now it seem to be all lost now. Its a 2-horse race for the title between Bayelsa UTD and Heartland (even Heartland have an outside chance). The Confederation Cup spot is a 3 or 5 horse race with Tornadoes, Warri, us, Pillars, and even Sharks. We blew matches we should have won. This is where we find ourselves, among teams we would have ordinarily reckon as mediocre. We're too big to be 5th on the table with 4 games to the end of the season. What a disappointment.

Questions

What are the ideas of the club chairman for this club? How are we going to recruit next season? What type of players? Which coach is going to start the recruiting drive when the transfer window opens? Do we have enough money to pick the best players in the league (foreign or local)? Do we have a guarantee that our players will stay with us for at least 2 years? Will the bulk of our money still come from the state? As for the coach, we need a coach with charisma. Someone who talks and the players listen. Someone whose got a pattern. Someone with technical prowess. If by the end of the season Enyimba makes it to the Champions League, I bet you that Eguavoen will stay on for longer and that will be a celebration of mediocrity. I'd have advised we get a Ikhana back but I don't know the circumstance of his departure. A foreign coach like Manuel Hose or any other technically sound coach with a bit of African experience can also do the trick. Enyimba is a big side. We cannot toy with our future. Our Champions League pedigree have given (and will give) us more respect in front of the private sector who've been apathetic towards Nigerian football. This, we need.

Why the silence

A couple of weeks ago, two guys via their post were antagonizing each other over the state of infrastructure in Aba township stadium. I call that the act of pursuing shadow instead of substance. Now the situation on ground is that the elephants cant win away matches, 4th and 5th place clubs are fast on our heels, the title is not within our grasp. I want to call on all well-meaning fans to rise up and suport me in the call to overhaul the teams technical crew. As they are .inefficient and unproductive.
