Enyimba are through to the final of the Federation Cup after defeating Sunshine Stars by a lone goal in the semi-final played in Kano.

The team shook off last week's loss to Zanaco of Zambia in the CAF Confederation Cup to book a place in the final when they triumphed 1-0, thanks to Uche Kalu's 21st minute goal.

The striker converted from the spot after he had been fouled by Sunshine's goalkeeper, Sunday Maikama who himself was sent off for the unfair tackle.

Sunshine Stars pushed forward in numbers in search of an equalizer but the defending champions held on to ensure their place in the final for the second year running. Enyimba too could easily had doubled their advantage and inflict further damage on Solomon Ogbeide's men but it was not to be as Uche Kalu's solitary strike remained what separated both teams until the end.

Enyimba meanwhile, paid a price for their victory as the glasses of their bus were shattered by fans who hurled missiles at them after the game.

The Elephants will meet Kaduna United in the final, a team currently managed by former Enyimba tactician, Maurice Cooreman in what promises to be a thrilling end to the 2010 Federation Cup.
