Enyimba all set to face Katsina United
Enyimba FC is set to face Katsina United in a highly anticipated Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) clash tomorrow at 4:30 pm at the Enyimba International Stadium.
Coach Yemi Olarenwaju emphasized the importance of securing maximum points. “We know it’s going to be a tough game. Katsina United is a good side with many experienced players,” Olarenwaju said. “But we must get our maximum points to consolidate our 3rd position on the log.”
Enyimba FC currently occupies 3rd place with 9 points, and a win would strengthen her top of the table ambitions
The People’s Elephant enters this match after a confidence-boosting 1-0 victory against Akwa United. Debutant Austin Onyemaechi scored the winning goal in the 72nd minute.
Onyemaechi’s impressive debut boosted team morale, and Coach Olarenwaju expects more from his new signing. “Austin’s goal was a game-changer,” Olarenwaju said. “He brought energy and pace to the game.”
Enyimba’s win run now stands at three matches, and they aim to build on this momentum.
“Morale is high, and the players are focused,” Olarenwaju added. “We’re taking it one game at a time.”
The Aba-based side has been boosted by the return of midfielder Daniel Daga and winger Clinton Jeptha . Their comeback is expected to bolster Enyimba’s squad depth and options.
“Having Daniel and Clinton back is a big plus for us,” Olarenwaju said. “They bring experience and quality to the team.”
