People’s Elephant eye positive result in Ibadan – Eze
Captain Pascal Eze says Enyimba are poised to secure a ‘good result’ when they face Shooting Stars in Ibadan on Wednesday, as the second stanza of the 2025/26 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) gets underway.
In a very dominant and impressive performance, the People’s Elephant thrashed the Oluyole Warriors 3-0 in the reverse fixture in Aba on 28 December to wrap up the first stanza of the campaign on a high note.
Speaking to www.enyimbafc.net ahead of the showdown at the Lekan Salami stadium in Ibadan, the 25-year-old centre-back hailed the teeming fans of the Club, declaring that the players and technical crew are determined to come back from Ibadan with a positive result.
“Firstly, I want to appreciate our fans for being there for us and believing in us both in good and bad times,” he said.
“Our match against Shooting Stars is the first for us in the second stanza of the season, and we would like to have a good result in the game, which will boost our morale for the remainder of the campaign.
“Our fans should expect the best from us. Definitely, we cannot travel all the way from Aba to Ibadan and come back empty-handed. We would like to come back with a positive result to put smiles on the faces of our fans.”
Currently placed 8th on the NPFL standings with 26 points from 19 matches, the record 9-time league champions could move up to 5th with a win against Shooting Stars and if results elsewhere go their way.
