‘We can’t be carried away’ – Oladapo
Enyimba cannot afford to rest on their current form but must be willing to put in the hard work required to sustain such impresssive results, says captain Austin Oladapo.
Saturday’s 2-1 against Plateau United meant that Fatai Osho’s side have recorded wins in their last four, a form that has moved them to the top of the Nigeria Professional Football League.
Oladapo returned to the team on Saturday and delivered a masterful midfield show after being sidelined since mid-January with a recurrent ankle problem, and had no reservations in his praise for the work ethics of the team..
“I would say the team has been working very hard to get to where we are now. The coaches and the players have been doing everything possibe to ensure that the results are good and we are happy with what we have been able to get in the last four matches.
‘But we cannot be carried away because this is only the beginning of the season. We still have a lot ahead of us, both in the league and on the continent. We are hoping that we will continue to improve so that we can have a very good season that we will all be proud of.”
