Enyimba to partcipate in Governor Okezie Ikpeazu Preseason Tournament

Enyimba FC has confirmed its partcipation in the 2nd edition of the Governor Okezie Ikpeazu Preseason Tournament scheduled to hold at the Enyimba Stadium from Sunday, 20th November.

The People’s Elephant have been drawn in Group A with City FC, Nnewi United and Ngwa United.

Alhtough Enyimba have already been involved in some friendly matches ahead of the 2022/23 season, the Governor Ikpeazu tournament will come as the first preseason competition for Finidi George’s side who are preparing to make amends for the disappointments of last season in which the People’s Elephant ranked 7th in the NPFL.

City FC will be first on the plates of Enyimba on the opening day, before the record Nigerian champions face Nnewi United and Ngwa United on Tuesday and Thursday respectively.

The weeklong tournament also features other notable team including Abia Warriors, Sunshine Stars and Heartland FC.
