Eze assures of convincing Enyimba victory over Kwara United
Skipper Pascal Eze has expressed huge confidence in Enyimba securing a win against Kwara United ahead of their Matchday 17 NPFL clash in Aba on Sunday. Such is his confidence, that he has ‘assured’ outright victory for the record 9-time league winners.
The People’s Elephant host the Harmony Boys, hoping to overcome last weekend’s defeat at champions Remo Stars, and reignite a shaky campaign so far.
The loss at Remo saw the 2-time African champions drop to 14th on the log, with 20pts from 16 matches, and with three more Matchdays to halfway stage of the season. But Eze told www.Enyimbafc.net the team wants to finish the first stanza on a high note, adding that they are fired up for victory against Kwara United.
“Firstly, I want to thank our fans for their great support – for being behind us all this while,” the experienced centre-back said.
“We are assuring them that against Kwara United on Sunday, we are going to grab the maximum points, with a convincing victory, because we want to end the first stanza on a good note.
“The spirit in camp is very high, and the boys know what is at stake. So, we want to put smiles on the faces of our fans once again.”
Eze also called on the fans to turn out in their numbers to show the team their usual unwavering support, as they face Kwara United on Sunday.
He said: “We are urging them (the fans) to come out en masse the way they used to and support us, because their support means a lot for us.”
