EZEKIEL TALKS TOUGH AS CONFIDENT ENYIMBA HIT BENIN FOR INSURANCE FIXTURE

Forward Edidiong Ezekiel says Enyimba will go into their Matchday 25 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) tie against Bendel Insurance at the Samuel Ogbemudia stadium in Benin on Saturday in a confident mood.

The confidence, according to the former Remo Stars striker, is coming from the club’s recent results in the NPFL, where the People’s Elephant are unbeaten in their last two matches.

An inspiring 1-1 draw against second-placed Nasarawa United in Lafia was followed by a 1-0 win against Bayelsa United in Aba on Sunday.

However, the ex-U23 star believes the 2-time African champions are up against a side with a tactically-brilliant manager in Kennedy Boboye.

Speaking to Enyimbafc.net, Ezekiel also urged the teeming fans of the Club to remain unwavering in their support of the record 9-time league champions, while promising to end the campaign ‘on a high’.

“On Saturday, we’ll be up against a tactical side who are led by coach Kennedy Boboye, but I can tell you that as a team, our confidence has grown to another level courtesy of our last two results, and we hope to replicate it even in Benin,” the 24-year-old former Akwa United striker said.

“At this point, we want to urge the esteemed fans of the People’s Elephant to continue giving us their absolute support, and we promise to finish the season on a high.”
