Yema confident ahead of league opener against Heartland
Head coach Yemi ‘Yema’ Olarenwaju has expressed Enyimba’s readiness for the league opener against Heartland FC in Owerri on Sunday.
Speaking to the media, Yema said, “I can say we are ready and we have no excuse now. The squad has been working tirelessly to integrate new signings into the team”
He added, “The integration has been going well, and it’s time to translate it to results. We are eager to make a strong impression in the league, and we know that Heartland FC, led by Coach Emmanuel Amunike, will pose a formidable challenge.”
Coach Olarenwaju acknowledged the opposition’s desire for a winning start, saying, “Coach Amunike would want to start on a good note too in the league. But we are determined to give it our all and start very well, hoping for a positive result in Owerri.”
The Enyimba FC squad has been preparing intensively for the new season, with a focus on building a strong and dynamic team with strategy. With a newfound sense of unity and purpose, the team is ready to take on the challenges of the league and make a statement in their opening match.
