OGBONNAYA tips youngster orok for big things
Nelson Ogbonnaya is convinced that rising star Orok Gabriel has what it takes to reach great height and achieve big in his career.
Orok has been part of the Enyimba first team since joining from Calabar Rovers in 2018, and enjoyed his most fruitful season last term with eight league appearances.
It is expected that the teenager will see even more game time next term, with head coach Fatai Osho having publicly extolled his talent.
Ogbonnaya, who has come against him several times in training knows the quality the forward possesses and believes it’s only a matter of time before the youngster becomes a household name.
“I remember when he joined us, we all saw him as a little boy who would not meet up, but after his first training, everyone looked at him differently. He has a very big heart and he is never afraid to run at defenders.
“His biggest quality is his confidence. He believes in himself and in his abilities. He believes he can make a difference in any game.
“He is also a hardworking boy and if he continues this way, I’m sure he’ll get very far in his career.”
