Ojo pumps Enyimba’s chances against Ahli Benghazi
Olorunleke Ojo has assured that Enyimba will give their all to qualify for the next round of the CAF Champions League.
The goalkeeper spoke to the club’s media, reacting to the draws which sees the NPFL Champions pitched to face Al Ahli Benghazi in the first preliminary round of the CAF Champions League.
Ojo bares his mind on the encounter: “It is a tough one and at the same time, it is going to be a very tough match between the two sides. I am familiar with them. I have played against Libyan sides before and I must confess they are very good side. They play good football.”
Olorunleke, who played a pivotal role in Enyimba’s triumph at last season’s NPFL Championship Playoff in Lagos, says he believes in his team and the players and banks on the pedigree of the club as well for success.
“Enyimba too is a big club in the country and is a club that is well known all over the world, and one of the best and strongest in Africa. I believe they will also respect us. We are not going to disrespect them and at the same time we will not be scared of them because I believe in my club and the players we have.”
Enyimba will be away to the Libyan club on the weekend of 18-20 August and will host the return leg a week later. Ojo, who is not new to African inter-club competitions believes that the team will come out strong with hardwork and determination
“All we need is hardwork, determination and commitment. With these three things, I believe we will come out strong. We will give our all to see that we qualify. We will take it one game at a time. I am very positive it will end well.”
