Enyimba 1-0 Doma United: Mbaoma strikes late to move Enyimba into top two

Chijioke Mbaoma netted his twelfth of the season as Enyimba returned to the top two with a 1-0 win against Doma United on Sunday.

The People’s Elephant looked close to paying the hard price for prolificacy, but Mbaoma fired into the roof of the net with one minute left to erupt wild jubilations at the Enyimba Stadium.

Frayed nerves were not completely calmed immediately as the assistant referee appeared to have raised his flag, but the goal eventually stood following consultation with the referee.

Next for Enyimba is a trip to Ikenne to face Remo Stars on Wednesday.
