Finidi to take charge of Nigeria’s Super Eagles

Enyimba head coach, Finidi George, will be in charge when Nigeria face Ghana and Mali in international friendly matches this month.

Finidi served as assistant to Jose Pesseiro, and was part of the technical crew that led Nigeria to second-place finish at the 2023 AFCON in Cote d’Ivoire.

Pesseiro has since left his role, and while the Nigeria Football Federation have yet to announce a substantive replacement for the Portuguese, Finidi has been put in charge for the matches against the West African countries.

The Super Eagles will tackle Ghana’s Black Stars on Friday, March 22 before facing the Eagles of Mali four days later, both games holding in Marrakech, Morocco.
