“I will keep fighting for the shirt” – Philip Ozor
Fresh from a superlative performance in the second leg of the CAF Confederation Cup against FC Pyramids, sensational midfielder Philip Ozor has continued to enjoy encomium for his recent fine vein of form.
The midfielder was an all-round box office when he ran the show against the Egyptians in a game that marked the end of the People’s Elephants participation in this season’s competition. On the back of that display Ozor made the cut for Enyimba’s fourth away win of the league campaign against Wikki Tourists.
In a chat with the team’s media, Ozor who has earned the trust of the manager in recent times revealed that he will keep fighting to get a starting berth on a consistent basis.
“You know Enyimba is like a national team. We have a bunch of good players here fighting for our shirt day by day. The coach has always got a final decision to make, I’m very grateful to the coach for selecting me to start games.”
Ozor’s reinvention and composure in midfield has endeared him to the fans, and his inch perfect displays will present Coach Fatai Osho with some good selection headache every matchday.
