Straight to the AFCON – Noble makes Nigeria’s squad for Cameroon 2021

John Noble has been included in Nigeria’s final squad list for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations to be held in Cameroon in January.

Noble is one of four goalkeepers included in the 28-man list released by interim head coach Austin Eguavoen on Saturday.

The inclusion marks a remarkable year for Noble, who only got his first invitation to the Super Eagles in March.

The goalkeeper is the only NPFL player in the squad largely dominated by Europe-based stars such as Victor Osimhen, Kelechi Iheanacho, Wilfred Ndidi and Alex Iwobi.

Nigeria will face Egypt, Guinea-Bissau and Sudan in group D of the tournament billed to hold from January 9 to February 6.
