Teams news for fixture against Akwa United 

Enyimba will host Kwara United on Sunday in week six of the Nigeria Premier Football League.

We have gathered the latest team news ahead of the fixture against Kabiru Dogo’s side.

Midfielder Elijah Akanni is the biggest update having been named in the matchday squad after a lengthy spell on the sidelines.

Chijioke Mbaoma who missed the trip to Gombe with an injury has returned to fitness and has been named in Finidi George’s matchday squad.

The same applies with Joseph Atule who was also absent in the draw against Gombe United.

Midfield stabiliser Ikenna Cooper remains sidelined with a knee problem and is expected to remain out of action for “at least a couple more weeks”.

Anthony Okachi is down with a cruciate ligament injury and is not expected to be back until six weeks.

Imo Obot is another injury concern as the left back is ruled out for up to six weeks.

Defenders Oluwatosin Adegbite and MacBen Otika are continuing their rehabilitation and may be back in trainingi n the coming weeks.
