Enyimba 3-0 Kwara United: Obioma’s brace propels Enyimba to emphatic win

Enyimba recorded their second win of the season with a 3-0 trouncing of Kwara United at the Enyimba Stadium on Sunday.

Having picked just one point from their last two outings, Enyimba had their work cut out against United and duly lived up to the occasion, going full tilt from the get-go, and were two goals up within eighteen minutes.

Sadiq Abubakar had a determined steal in midfield and drove upfield to play in Emeka Obioma who stayed calm to place it beyond the keeper in the eleventh minute.

Ademola Adebambo added to it seven minutes later, firing into the far corner after Abubakar’s second assist to mark a scoring debut at Enyimba.

Emeka Obioma got his brace midway through the second half, volleying Chibuike Nwaiwu’s dropped header into the near post following a corner kick.

Fatai Abdullahi’s introduction brought stability as Finidi George looked to see off the rest of the proceedings, but the visitors managed to carve out few chances, substitute Wasiu Alalade miscuing a close range chance before rattling the crossbar in the closing stages.
