New team captains announced

Olorunleke Ojo has been announced captain of Enyimba Football Club ahead of the 2023/24 season.

This follows the departure of former captain John Noble who has left the club following the expiration of his contract.

Ojo joined the People’s in September 2021 and, in his two seasons at the club, has established himself as a mainstay in Finidi George’s squad despite stiff competition from John Noble and Djeri Bassa.

Centre back Somiari Alalibo will serve as the team’s second captain.

Enyimba will get the 2023/24 season underway with a Champions League preliminary round fixture against Al Ahli Benghazi in Libya on August 18.
