Enyimba to face Remo Stars in Naija Super 8 curtain raiser

Enyimba will face Remo Stars in the opening game of the Naija Super 8 on Friday.

The fixture is a repeat of the opening match of last month’s NPFL Championship Playoff at the same venue, a game in which Remo Stars came from behind twice to force Enyimba to a 2-2 draw. Enyimba, however, powered on to win the playoff and claim their 9th league crown.

According to the fixtures released by the organisers of the tournament, FlyKite Production, the mouth-watering opener between Nigeria’s two CAF Champions League representatives will kickoff at 4:30 PM at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena.

Two days later, Enyimba’s will be up against wildcard participants Sporting Lagos, before rounding off their group A campaign against Katsina United on Tuesday, July 11.
