Expect changes in the Oriental Derby – Fatai Osho

A third game in eight days awaits Enyimba this weekend as the second stanza of the Nigerian Professional Football League returns with matchday 20 fixtures.

The Elephants have observed no rest with continental clashes sandwiched by league games keeping the eight-time league winners constantly on the move.

Fresh from qualifying for the quarterfinals of the CAF Confederation Cup, Enyimba have played two outstanding matches; a one nil loss to Rivers United and a two-all draw against FC Ifeanyi Ubah. However, a rescheduled matchday 19 presents a different proposition this weekend with Enyimba up against Enugu Rangers in an Oriental Derby at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium.

The gaffer has recently hinted of fatigue and fixture congestion, and speaking with the club’s media ahead of the tie Coach Fatai Osho says he will feature some new faces.

Definitely we know we can’t take a lot of this guys (regulars), people should just be patient, we are in many fronts, let’s see some new boys play, when you do that you might not get the desired result but its necessary so that you don’t compromise all other objective for the season.”

Sunday’s tie will be Enyimba’s third of their four outstanding games, with Osho’s men placed fifth on the log with 31 points.
