In form Mbaoma wary of ‘dangerous’ Warri Wolves
Victor Mbaoma is expecting Warri Wolves to pose a strong opposition when Enyimba host the in Wednesday’s NPFL fixture.
Mbaoma appears to have refound his form, having netted five times in his last eight matches, and is primed to lead Enyimba’s frontline as the People’s Elephant look to build on a decent performance against Plateau United on Sunday.
Wolves themselves come into the fixture in dire need of points after a recent run of poor results have left them four points from safety.
It was Mbaoma that grabbed Enyimba’s equaliser when the sides played a 1-1 draw in Ozoro earlier this season, and the forward clearly recalls how difficult that game was.
“At this stage of the season, you won’t expect any game to be easy, especially against a dangerous team like Warri Wolves.
“They are a very dangerous team. I remember when we played against them in Ozoro, we had to come from behind to get an equaliser. Although they were one man down, they were still very difficult for us to beat.
“Right now they are in a very bad position on the table and would want to do everything to beat the drop, and that makes the have even tougher. But we also have our own target that we are looking at and we know how important this game is for us to reach that target.”
