Ikenna Cooper has returned to the squad after recovering from a groin problem that kept him out of the opening six matchdays of the season.
Cooper is included in the matchday squad for Saturday’s fixture against Gombe United, and the midfielder is already looking forward to the possibility of making his debut for the People’s Elephant.
“I am very happy and pleased to be in this team. You know it’s not easy, having been left out injured, coming back again to fight for your place is not easy especially with the quality of players in the team. But I am very happy to be back and will give everything whether on the pitch or from the bench.
“It is a chance for my debut today, but looking at the game, it is a very important one for the team. It is very important that we get a positive result here because if you look a the table you will see that it is very tight. That is why this game is very important. We can’t afford to lose this game. A win is a big possibility for us.”
